Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the effect on a person of the aromas of various essential oils. This effect can lead to various effects – calming, relaxing or, on the contrary, tonic. Oils have a wide spectrum of action – antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, analgesic, expectorant, antioxidant properties. In addition, plant scents can speed up metabolism, improve skin condition, relieve stress, reduce hunger, and increase libido.
The influence of aromas on the human condition was noticed in ancient Egypt, which is considered the founder of aromatherapy. And in ancient India, there are known facts of the use of odors for treatment from the third millennium BC. In Europe, aromatherapy began to be used much later – from about the 12th century.
