In general, halotherapy is a non-drug method of disease prevention based on creating a certain concentration of ions and salt particles in the air of a room. For the purposes of halotherapy, ordinary table salt is used, which, using specialized equipment, is crushed to the smallest particles and sprayed into the air, creating their specified concentration in the air. It is important to emphasize that pure salt is used, without any impurities. The absence of impurities virtually eliminates unexpected side effects from inhaling salt, since salt that is mined in different parts of our planet contains impurities – in particular, salt mined in the Himalayas contains more than 80 trace elements, including fluorine, magnesium, iodine, calcium, etc. P. And if such salt is useful for nutrition, inhaling it in the form of a fine suspension can have unforeseen consequences.
In addition to creating an increased concentration of salt in the air, as a rule, the walls are covered with a “salt coat” or slabs of rock salt. And salt is poured on the floor or salt stones are laid out.

The effect of being in salt rooms is often compared to the healing effect of being on the sea coast. Indeed, near the sea the air is completely different than, for example, in the mountains or in the forest. Both there and there, the air is clean, rich in oxygen, which allows us to give our body an impetus to recovery. But the presence of salt microelements in the air also destroys harmful viruses, for example, they help treat influenza and other colds.
Since ancient times, ordinary table salt has been used as a means of preserving food, as a tanning agent and as a preservative – a substance that kills microorganisms and infections. It is this property of salt that is used in halotherapy.
The concentration of salt in the air can be adjusted using sensors, but in any case, the effect of recovery should not be expected immediately and instantly. This is a gentle method of physiotherapy and healing and that is why it is indicated for most people. However, there are a number of diseases for which the use of halotherapy (as well as trips to the sea) is not recommended. These are primarily skin diseases associated with open wounds (eczema, psoriasis, etc.), cancer, ulcers of various types, the presence of purulent processes, individual salt intolerance, etc. In any case, if you have any illnesses or doubts, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
In our mobile SPA complex, we cannot implement a full-fledged salt cave, in which salt is applied to all the walls, salt is laid on the floor and salt is sprayed on the ceiling. This is due to the fact that salt tends to absorb moisture and in rooms with variable humidity it is possible to use solid rock salt, the elements of which are presented here. But the halogenerator, and therefore the spraying of salt in the air, is performed with exactly the same device as in a stationary chamber. This means that both air and salt concentration have similar properties.
